The Activities of the FDSHJ

Family Apostolate: The FDSHJ shall frequently visit to the families and to promote, prayer life in the families, since prayer is the bridge that links man with God. Run Nursery Schools and small scale Industrial Schools, Dispensaries and Home for the Aged.

Parish Apostolate: The FDSHJ shall teaching Catechism and giving animation to various types of pious associations, the existence of which is the most for a fervent catholic life in the Parish.

 Perpetual Adoration: In order that the Institute may grow and flourish in order that all its activities may crowned with success; in order that its spirit and charism may be preserved and lived and in order to act the Power House and Reservoir of the Institute causing a continual flow of graces and blessings from above, the Institute of the FDSHJ shall be engaged in holding Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, in Mother house at Punnavely, The Cathedral Churches of  Muvattupuzha and Chandha.

The Charism is being actualised also through various other activities like old age homes, homes for the mentally and physically challenged and other social and charitable activities. We have 3 old age homes namely (Jesus Home Punnavely at Pathanamthitta Dist, Holy Trinity Poor Home Punnakunnu at Kazargod Dist, Anpillam Anjugramam at Kanyakumari Dist. and we are working in other Institutions like Psychiatry and Rehabilitation centres etc.  Now we have 161 Sisters in 38 communities working in rural areas of various States of India, namely Assam, Maharashtra, Chathisghat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
